You can find my FULL playlist of saxophone reviews here on my YouTube channel. Usually in this price range consistency is an issue. There is of course no guarantee that the one you purchase will be as well setup as the one I got. I found a minuscule amount in the low C key and the front F key is a bit wobbly, but since there is no pad attached to that key, its impact is minimal. There was virtually zero mechanical play in the keys. However, it had the best setup I’ve seen in this price range.

While this instrument actually plays fairly well, it comes with a very cheap case, and cheap, sticky pads. The Jean Paul AS-400 Alto Saxophone, which I consider to be the BEST saxophone currently available for under $500 – $490.The Ammoon/Lade Alto Saxophone, another very inexpensive model – $270.The Eastar Alto Saxophone, aka the cheapest saxophone on Amazon – $259.It is really easy to think that buying a saxophone is going to be a huge investment, but I’ve found three fairly viable options for you to purchase without breaking the bank You can purchase the BetterSax Alto exclusively here on. This truly is a fantastic horn and I’m excited to finally get it into your hands! If your budget is around $650 this can be your one and only main instrument no matter what level player you are. I want people to be able to buy this horn and not have to think they are going to need a step up instrument a few years later.
